John Neuman is a web designer that is passionate about standing out from the crowd. After signing on as registrar and website lead for Okotoks Oilers Athletic Association (OOAA), a hockey program with 180 athletes in Alberta, Canada, Neuman realized their website looked just like every other hockey organization in Canada—and that wasn’t going to fly.

Neuman also loves that he can make changes to the association’s website on his own in real-time. In the past, he’d have to go through an IT department and request changes, which could take days.

“When we switched over to SportsEngine and released the new website, we got tons of great feedback,” says Neuman. “But it wasn’t just the website that people loved, it was also the online registration system and mobile app.”

“As registrar, I’m in charge of hosting registration every season, and SportsEngine has made that entire process easy for me,” says Neuman. “I now only need one form to register all of our hockey divisions—as opposed to multiple separate forms—and parents can fill out the form and pay online, all from their phones.”
